Player Qualification
Lot's of questions on this one. Please read the criteria carefully. If you have ANY questions please do not leave it until the last minute. Players that do not qualify WILL NOT be permitted to play. If you wish to have your status changed, you must apply to MR Series Events directly. (mailto:mike@mrpaintball.ca)
Division 4
This division includes all 1st year MR Series tournament players. Any player that made the finals at NATS as a D4 player must play the series as a D3 player.
Division 3
This division includes all players and teams that did not place in the top 2 spots in 2007 in D3. Starting this year, including nationals, any player that wins a D3 event or places in the top 4 series points will be promoted to D2 for 2008.
Division 2
This division would include all players that do not meet the Div 3 status. Also in this bracket would be Div 2 players from the 2009 season that did not place in the top 2 spots overall. One Div 1 PLAYER MAY PLAY Div 2. Any D1 players placing in the bottom 2 spots with a minimum of 3 events played may elect to drop to D2.
Division 1
This division would include all other players. 1 PRO player may play in this division.
A PRO player is any player that has made the playoffs (SUNDAY) in the NPPL/USPL or the PSP in 2009 or in 2010. Just playing on "PRO" team does not make you a PRO classifed player. Your team must make the playoffs, at the event that you played.

MR X-DIV RULES UPDATE
PRELIM GAMES
IF 6 TEAMS ATTEND
TEAMS WILL PLAY 5 GAMES. (ALL OTHER TEAMS IN THE EVENT)
THE TOP 3 WILL ADVANCE. THE 1ST SEED WILL ADVANCE TO THE FINAL, THE 2ND AND 3RD SEED WILL PLAY, AND THE WINNER WILL ADVANCE TO THE FINAL, TO PLAY FOR 1ST AND 2ND.
IF 8 TEAMS ATTEND
TEAMS WILL PLAY 3 or 4 GAMES. TEAMS WILL BE SEEDED ACCORDING TO YEAR TO DATE RANK. THIS WILL DETERMINE WHAT TEAMS THEY WILL PLAY AT THE EVENT.
THE TOP 4 TEAMS IN OVERALL WILL QUALIFY FOR THE SEMI-FINAL.
THE 1ST RANKED TEAM WILL PLAY THE 4TH RANKED TEAM. THE 3RD RANKED TEAM WILL PLAY THE 2ND RANKED TEAM.
THE WINNERS WILL PLAY FOR 1ST AND 2ND. THE LOSERS WILL PLAY FOR 3RD AND 4TH
IF 10 TEAMS ATTEND
TEAMS WILL BE SPLIT INTO 2 POOLS OF 5.
TEAMS WILL PLAY 4 GAMES (EACH MEMBER OF YOUR POOL) THE TOP 2 TEAMS IN EACH POOL WILL QUALIFY FOR THE SEMI-FINAL.
THE 1ST RANKED TEAM WILL PLAY THE 4TH RANKED TEAM. THE 3RD RANKED TEAM WILL PLAY THE 2ND RANKED TEAM. HIGHER SEEDED TEAMS WILL SELECT THE END FROM WHICH THEY PLAY.
THE WINNERS WILL PLAY FOR 1ST AND 2ND. THE LOSERS WILL PLAY FOR 3RD AND 4TH

THE CAP WILL BE 13.5 BPS (PSP 2008)

RANKINGS AND TIEBREAKERS
PRELIM POINTS
TEAMS WILL BE AWARDED 2 POINTS FOR EACH WIN, 0 POINTS FOR A LOSS, AND 1 POINT FOR AN OVERTIME LOSS.
TIE-BREAKERS
TIES WILL BE BROKEN IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER
1. HEAD TO HEAD GAMES. IF THE TWO TIED TEAMS PLAYED EACH OTHER DURING THE EVENT, THE WINNER OF THAT MATCH WILL BE CONSIDERED HIGHER RANKED.
2. PLUS MINUS. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE POINTS A TEAM SCORES AND THE POINTS THAT THEY GIVE UP IS THE TEAMS "DIFFERENTIAL" THE TEAM WITH THE HIGHEST "DIFFERENTIAL" WILL WIN THE TIE BREAKER.
3. MOST WINS. THE TEAM WITH THE MOST WINS AT THE EVENT WILL BE CONSIDERED HIGHER RANKED.
4. MOST HANGS. THE TEAM THAT SCORED THE MOST FLAG HANGS WILL BE CONSIDERED THE HIGHER RANKED.
ROSTERS
ALL PLAYERS MUST BE ON THE EVENT ROSTER. THIS ROSTER HAS A MAX OF 10 PLAYER SLOTS, AND ONE COACHING SLOT. TEAMS MAY USE ANY COACH FROM ANY XDIV TEAM, BUT FOR A PERSON TO COACH, HE MUST BE ON AT LEAST ONE ROSTER AS A PLAYER OR COACH.
ALL PLAYERS PLAYING IN THE MATCH MUST ALSO BE ONE THE MATCH ROSTER. A TEAM REPRESENTATIVE MUST CHECK IN AND FILL OUT THE MATCH ROSTER. ANY PLAYER FOUND TO BE PLAYING AND IS NOT ON THE MATCH ROSTER, WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE FIELD. ONCE A MATCH HAS BEGUN NO MORE PLAYERS CAN BE ADDED TO THE MATCH ROSTER OR THE EVENT ROSTER.
EACH AND EVERY MATCH ROSTER WILL BE CHECKED AGAINST THE EVENT ROSTER BEFORE THE SCORE IS POSTED. ANY ILLEGAL PLAYERS WILL BE SUSPENDED FOR ONE MATCH, AND THE TEAM FOUND TO BE PLAYING WITH AN ILLEGAL PLAYER WILL BE DECLARED THE LOSER OF THAT GAME. IF THE OFFENDING TEAM WON THE MATCH....THE SCORES WILL BE REVERSED.
A PLAYER MAY ONLY APPEAR ON ONE ROSTER PER EVENT. A PLAYER MAY COACH FOR MULTIPLE TEAMS, BUT ONLY PLAY FOR ONE.
